Choosing mushroom extract raw materials and products that are suitable for your company requires comprehensive consideration of core factors such as raw material quality, production process, safety, and supplier qualifications. The following are the key screening criteria and recommended process summarized based on our over ten years of work experience:
1、 Core indicators of raw material quality
- Origin and variety
Plant selection: The Ganoderma produced by yohopharm company is selected from the Changbai Mountain production area in Jilin Province, and its active ingredients (polysaccharides, triterpenoids) are more abundant in accumulation; The main ingredient for shiitake mushrooms is hard broad-leaved sawdust or cottonseed hulls, and the auxiliary ingredient is fresh bran/rice bran.
Strain authentication: The mycelium is robust, white, and free from contamination by miscellaneous bacteria. The bacterial age is moderate (such as when the mother strain mycelium occupies more than 2/3 of the slope).
- Content of active ingredients
Ganoderma lucidum: The total content of polysaccharides and triterpenoids is ≥ 20%, and our top product triterpenoids can reach 30%; Spore oil must contain ergosterol ≥ 50mg/100g.
Hericium erinaceus mushrooms: Hericium erinaceus polysaccharides have clear activity, and we clearly label them, focusing on the core function of promoting nerve cell growth.

2、 Production process and technical support
- Extraction technology
Wall breaking/extraction process: The spore powder we produce has a wall breaking rate of over 99% (low-temperature physical wall breaking), and the spore oil is extracted by supercritical CO ₂ to avoid solvent residue.
Formulation design: The spore oil encapsulated in soft capsules can prevent oxidation, and the plant-based capsule shell is compatible with vegetarian needs.
- Quality stability assurance
Standardized production processes ensure batch consistency and avoid ingredient fluctuations.
3、 Safety and Compliance Certification
- Essential items for testing report
Our mushroom products comply with national standards for heavy metals (lead/arsenic), pesticide residues, and microorganisms (total bacterial count/mold). The detection method should include atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) or chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS/LC-MS).
Organic certification (zero pesticide residue) and blue hat certification (national approval) are high credibility endorsements.
- Traceability transparency
The raw materials can be provided DNA tracing, planting environment data, and harvesting and processing records.
